SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Newham

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive secondary school in Newham.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class and small-group support for students with SEN
Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and external professionals
Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs
Help adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and student wellbeing
Support students with personal, social, and emotional development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school experience desirable)
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
A willingness to learn and develop professionally
