Overview
We are supporting a well-established organisation within the education and public services sector to recruit an HR Policy Manager on a 12‑month fixed-term basis on a part-time, 4 days a week basis. This part-time role focusses on shaping a proactive employee relations approach, ensuringpliance across policies and processes, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and resolution‑focused work environment.
The successful candidate will lead policy development, manageplex employee relations casework, and support the development of advisers and managers across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead on the development, review and implementation of people policies and procedures.
2. Provide expert advice and guidance onplex and sensitive employee relations cases.
3. Support managers and advisers in applying consistent, legallypliant approaches to people management.
4. Contribute to the organisation’s strategy for early conflict resolution and positive working relationships.
5. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
6. Analyse employee relations trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Deliver workshops and awareness sessions on respectful conduct and inclusive practices.
8. Support project work linked to policy,pliance or employee wellbeing.
Person Specification
9. CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience.
10. Significant background in employee relations, includingplex case handling.
11. Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
12. Experience developing and implementing people policies.
13. Ability to coach and influence managers.
14. Strongmunication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Ability to work confidently with sensitive information.
16. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands.
