Summary
The Transport Planner plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of Trimline's transport operations. The role is responsible for creating and managing daily delivery schedules that are both compliant and cost-effective, while ensuring customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities
* Plan and allocate daily delivery and collection routes for the company fleet and third-party couriers.
* Optimise routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel usage, and maximise on-time deliveries.
* Monitor live operations and adjust plans as needed to respond to traffic delays, urgent jobs, or unexpected challenges.
* Communicate schedules effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams.
* Ensure routes comply with driver hours legislation, working time regulations, and vehicle availability.
* Support the Transport Manager in maintaining compliance records, reports, and KPI tracking.
* Monitor performance indicators such as delivery success rates, failed drops, and route efficiency.
* Manage relationships with third-party couriers, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.
* Assist in identifying continuous improvement opportunities in transport planning and logistics operations.
Requirements
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, couriers, and internal teams.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
