"Big hearts wanted for our small, special home."
We're excited to open the doors to our brand-new solo children's home, and we're looking for a compassionate, experienced, and confident Senior Residential Support Worker to help us lead with care, warmth, and heart.
This isn't just a job, it's a chance to help one young person feel safe, seen, and truly supported, in a beautiful home that's built around connection, calm, and trust. You'll also play a key role in supporting the team around them, setting the tone and leading by example every day.
About the Home:
This is a solo placement, supporting just one young person, which means you'll have the time and space to build a meaningful relationship, tailor support, and really make a lasting difference.
The home itself is brand new, thoughtfully designed, and full of home comforts. We pride ourselves on being a genuinely homely environment, relaxed, warm, and filled with laughter. A place where both adults and young people can thrive.
About the Role:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll be a consistent, trusted adult for the young person in our care, while also supporting and guiding your team. You'll lead shifts with confidence, take ownership of key responsibilities, and ensure the home runs smoothly and safely day-to-day. Sleep in rate: £60
Your days will include:
* Leading shifts and acting as a role model for other adults in the home
* Supporting morning routines, school runs, and evening wind-downs
* Cooking meals, planning fun outings, and building positive daily structure
* Offering emotional support using the PACE approach and trauma-informed care
* Safeguarding the young person and ensuring all concerns are responded to and recorded appropriately
* Supporting life skills like budgeting, cooking, and building independence
* Liaising with professionals, advocating for the young person's needs, and attending meetings
* Supporting and mentoring other team members, from rota management to care plans
* Working alongside the management team to maintain high standards across the home
What we're looking for:
* A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* A full UK driving licence
* Experience working in a children's residential setting
* Confidence in leading shifts and structuring days
* A good understanding of trauma, attachment, safeguarding, and the PACE model
* Someone who is calm under pressure, emotionally intelligent, and full of heart
What you'll get in return:
* The chance to be part of something new, exciting, and full of potential
* Dedicated 1:1 development sessions with management to support your growth
* A welcoming, close-knit team that values support, compassion, and fun
* Ongoing training and nationally recognised qualifications
* Regular reflective supervision and wellbeing support
* Genuine opportunities to progress as the company grows
* The chance to make a real, lasting difference in a young person's life
Sound like your kind of place?
This is a truly unique opportunity to help shape a new home from the ground up. If you're ready to lead with heart, build strong bonds, and help create a nurturing space where one young person can truly thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
"We're creating more than a service - we're building a space where a young person feels they belong. And it starts with you."
