Manufacturing Engineer
£36,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary plus Great Benefits
Based at Harrogate
Our client is an established and well-respected engineering business. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for ensuring that production has accurate product information, processes, and machinery to manufacture and maintain both new and existing products.
Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze existing production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
2. Evaluate and maintain manufacturing equipment for optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
3. Provide technical support and guidance to production teams on process issues, troubleshooting equipment problems, and corrective actions.
4. Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
5. Lead and participate in projects related to process optimization, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
6. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and other departments to align on production goals and standards, communicating changes across the business.
7. Assist in training production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
8. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Skills & Experience
* Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent is ideal.
* Experience in identifying manufacturing improvements and streamlining processes.
* Knowledge of manufacturing automation and robotics is desirable.
* Proficiency in CAD design, statistical analysis tools, and process simulations.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The position offers £36,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus great benefits. It is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week at our client's North Yorkshire site in Harrogate.
