Offer description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week with a shift pattern of 7.5 hours daily, between 0700 and 1700 hours on a rotational basis.

The Cook Freeze Production Unit is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Band 3 Supervisor, Team Leader. This role involves coordinating and supervising core functions to ensure smooth operations, adherence to productivity schedules, and high-quality standards. The core functions supported by four teams—Production, Hygiene, Portioning, Packing & Freezing, and Goods In/Issue—will be managed on a rotational basis, with daily responsibilities assigned to one team.

The successful candidate will assist the Team Manager by providing supervision, training, and development for CPU staff. They will also uphold high standards of food and environmental hygiene throughout the CPU and related areas.

While a certificate in Intermediate Food Hygiene is preferred, it is not mandatory as training can be provided. Experience in large-scale food production or catering is essential for this role.

Informal enquiries can be directed to Scott Stirrat at 0141 314 6187 or Scott.stirrat@nhs.scot.

Further details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.
