We’re recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in behaviour and alternative provision schools, supporting pupils who need strong role models, consistency, and positive guidance to succeed.
This role is ideal for people with experience in:
Youth work
Sports coaching
Prison or probation services
Security or custodial roles
Care or support work
Military or emergency services
If you’re used to managing behaviour, setting boundaries, and staying calm under pressure - your skills are highly transferable to education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant in a behaviour-focused setting, you will:
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
Build positive, trusting relationships with students
Work closely with teachers and support staff in a structured environment
Act as a positive role model, promoting respect and resilience
Support with learning and engagement
No two days are the same - this is a hands-on, rewarding role where your presence genuinely makes a difference.
Students in these schools require consistency so it is important you are available full time position, working Monday - Friday, term time only.

Confidence and strong communication skills
Experience working with challenging behaviour (professional or voluntary)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
