If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, enjoy owning complex litigation caseloads, and want to make a real impact on recovery outcomes—this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take full ownership of litigated recovery claims, guiding cases from instruction through to resolution while maximising financial recovery for clients. Alongside managing your own caseload, you’ll act as a technical referral point, supporting colleagues and strengthening team capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review new instructions, identify technical issues, and set clear litigation strategies
* Manage a varied caseload, ensuring compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and court deadlines
* Conduct the full litigation process, including:
o Drafting legal documents (claim forms, directions questionnaires, witness statements)
o Issuing proceedings and monitoring court timetables
o Negotiating quantum and settlement outcomes
* Maintain accurate case records using our case management system
* Deliver high-quality work in line with audit standards
* Act as a peer review and sign-off point for litigation referrals
* Collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve team targets and contribute to a positive, high-performing culture
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a skilled litigator with strong technical knowledge and a collaborative approach.
* Solid understanding of the Road Traffic Act, RTA insurers, and Article 75
* End-to-end claims handling experience, from assessment through to settlement
* Experience handling litigated motor claims (including costs and schedules)
* Proven ability to draft legal proceedings and manage cases through court
* Experience handling complex or high-value claims
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Calm and resilient under pressure, with strong attention to detail
* Confident using case management systems and IT tools
Who You Are
You’re more than just technically strong—you bring the mindset and behaviours that make teams succeed:
* Positive, professional, and solutions-focused
* A clear communicator who builds effective relationships
* Highly organised, with excellent time management
* Adaptable and proactive in a changing environment
* Committed to delivering high-quality outcomes every time
