The Role
As the class teacher in the Early Years Foundation Stage, you’ll play a key role in shaping children’s first experiences of school. You’ll create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that supports every child’s curiosity, progress, and personal development. Working alongside a dedicated EYFS team, you’ll deliver high-quality teaching that inspires a love of learning from the very beginning.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver inspiring, play-based lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
2. Provide a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence and creativity.
3. Assess and track pupil progress, using observations to inform future planning.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
5. Contribute to wider school life and share good practice within the EYFS team.
About You
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in Early Years.
7. A thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
8. A positive, proactive approach with excellent classroom management skills.
9. The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
10. Passionate about providing the very best start to education for every child.
