I am working with a thriving family-run business based in Preston, which is now looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary, full-time basis. This business has recently expanded its offices due to a successful year and is looking to add some new faces to the Finance Team! This role will be on-site and for 9 months.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will report into the Finance Director and be responsible for supporting the team in daily accounting tasks. Your role will involve processing 100+ invoices per week, matching invoices to the correct PO, generating 50+ sales invoices per week, and chasing outstanding payments with existing customers. You will also assist with month-end duties such as cashbook reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. An additional task of payroll support will also be offered.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should be AAT qualified (or qualified by experience) and have previous experience in a similar role. Experience working with Sage is essential, along with the ability to use Excel at an intermediate level, including vlookups.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a full-time salary of £28,000 per annum. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a healthcare cash plan, flexible working arrangements, and onsite parking.
