Are you looking for a new challenge in an environment where no two days are the same?
Patient care is at the centre of what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed healthcare professional who wants to make a difference in our patients' lives.
HMP Humber is a Cat C resettlement prison holding male adults. We provide primary care, GP surgery provision, alongside access to mental health and substance misuse services.
Prisons are challenging yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work. If you want a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is it!
As a DART Lead Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting and being a resource to other staff.
You will work alongside the non-clinical substance misuse team and mental health teams. There are great opportunities for training and development, and the chance to work with interesting patients and learn new skills.
If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously, showing initiative in handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!
This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the operational management of the DART (Drug Alcohol Recovery Team) Nursing Service, ensuring all systems are in place for effective, high-quality, evidence-based treatment and recovery interventions.
You will contribute to the multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering specialist substance misuse treatment and recovery interventions for drug and alcohol misusers.
You will support the development of Prison DART Services within national guidelines, managing resources efficiently and effectively.
You will also help develop partnerships with key providers within the prison environment and promote good relationships among all nurses.
