Job Duties

Perform daily duties of a large farm operation which includes production of livestock, vegetable crops, lumber products, maintenance of buildings, grounds, roadways and the operation and maintenance of all farm equipment utilizing inmate workforce. Provide training, supervision and evaluation to inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Experience in agricultural programs and/or farm management. Working knowledge of vegetable production, greenhouse production, farm management, animal husbandry and livestock handling. Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise the work of others. Experience maintaining accurate records according to policy. Computer knowledge is necessary in order to input time and to do training online. Certification in Commercial Pesticide Application or the ability to obtain 1 within 12 months of hire.

Additional Considerations

Demonstrated ability to train supervisees in commercial pesticide spraying with goals for them to receive a state registered tech license. Demonstrated ability to operate all aspects of farm operation.
