About the Role
An Independent school in Brent is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their design and technology department. You'll deliver engaging food technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4, developing students' culinary skills and understanding of food science.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology Teacher lessons, covering a range of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
* Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
* Develop students' understanding of food science, nutrition, and food safety.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Contribute to the development of the food technology curriculum and resources.
* Organise and lead food-related extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs and competitions.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology.
* Proven experience in teaching food technology at secondary level.
* Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food science.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
