Overview
Health & Safety Manager – Permanent. Location: Colnbrook (near Heathrow). Hours: Full time (42.5 hours per week). Salary: £45,000 - £48,000.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary Health & Safety lead for Infrastructure Logistics, reporting directly to the HLI Director.
* Support the development and execution of the Logistics Strategy, embedding safety objectives and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
* Develop, audit, and implement safe systems of work across all logistics functions (welfare, workforce, vehicles, space, freight, deliveries).
* Lead investigations into incidents/accidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis and preventative actions.
* Identify and analyse safety trends across logistics to inform risk mitigation and operational planning.
* Champion and deliver campaigns, communications, and engagement initiatives to promote a positive safety culture across the logistics community.
* Act as the key interface with Heathrow’s H&S representatives, Delivery Partners, and client stakeholders on logistics safety.
* Participate in HAL safety forums, JSG workstreams, and airside safety groups.
* Provide regular, transparent reporting on safety performance, risks, and improvements.
* Establish clear safety KPIs for logistics, aligned with both WJ and client requirements.
* Deliver safety training, inductions, and awareness sessions relevant to logistics operations.
* Carry out any other reasonable requests as required by your Line Manager or the Customer.

What We Are Looking For
* Extensive experience in the construction or infrastructure sector with a strong understanding of aviation/airport safety.
* Proven track record in developing and governing health & safety systems, HSE and CDM compliance.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, delivery partners, and internal teams.
Essential
* NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate.
* IOSH Membership (Active CPD Record).
Desirable
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Trainer/Assessor (Level 3) certificate.
* CSCS Card.
