We have a great opportunity for a qualified Swimming Instructor (STA Award/Certificate or SEQ Level 2), or for someone with the passion and willingness to achieve the STA Award qualification.
You will instruct, coach, and teach activities suitable to the ability, age, and target groups. Your role involves teaching essential water skills, relaying information clearly, organizing lessons, conducting assessments, and ensuring safety and confidence in the water.

Hours & Shifts:
- Wednesday 4-7pm or 4-6pm
- Saturday 8-11am
- Sunday 8-11am

Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver swimming lessons to improve customer skills and confidence
* Provide constructive feedback to help customers progress
* Educate customers on water safety and help overcome barriers
* Achieve set targets
* Maintain a safe, clean activity environment and proper resource management
* Support centre operations and team efforts
* Promote company values and expectations
* Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
* Engage in personal development and training programs
* Provide feedback for continual improvement
* Respect customer and colleague privacy rights
* Take responsibility for personal performance
* Actively participate in company initiatives and policies
* Follow emergency procedures
Skills, Qualities & Experience
* Experience instructing mixed-ability groups
* Knowledge of the National Plan for Swimming Teaching
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
* Willingness to achieve NRASTC Light qualification (provided by Halo)
