New: Medical Writer (Remote UK/Hybrid possible) - Innovative growing healthcare consulting firm
An exciting opportunity to join a growing consulting firm with excellent staff retention rates in the healthcare/pharma space. Be part of a fun, people-focused culture where everyone supports each other and maintains a good work-life balance.
The role suits a medical writer who enjoys hands-on writing and working in a collaborative, close-knit team. You will have support from an established leadership team for growth and development, with no pressure to be involved in sales or business development. The position offers good visibility within a mid-sized company and the chance to work on global projects.
Much of the company's work involves repeat business and organic growth, with HEOR publications and manuscripts being key deliverables.
Role scope:
* Draft, revise, and finalize scientific materials, including abstracts for scientific conferences, scientific posters, slide decks for presentations, tables, figures, and data visualizations.
* Articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
* Evaluate and interpret source documents; develop appropriate tables and figures.
* Provide copy editing, proofreading, and quality control for other writers and researchers.
* Collaborate with internal researchers and client teams to ensure scientific accuracy using protocols, study reports, and other source documents.
* Participate remotely in client project meetings as needed.
* Incorporate reviewer comments to improve document clarity and accuracy.
* Address conflicting or ambiguous comments from authors and reviewers.
* Conduct online literature searches and summarize findings.
* Coordinate journal and abstract submissions adhering to guidelines and templates.
* Contribute to internal thought leadership projects.
Qualifications:
* MSc or higher degree in a life science, public health, or health economics-related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in technical writing, either professionally or as a student.
* Strong attention to detail, clarity, and scientific accuracy.
* Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Proven experience writing for the pharmaceutical industry, public health, RWE, epidemiology, or HEOR is highly preferred.
