We're working with a well-respected helicopter operator based in Scotland who is looking to expand their engineering team with an experienced and motivated B1.3 Engineer.
Whether you're based locally or looking to commute from elsewhere in the UK or Europe, this could be a great fit - especially with the 14/14 rotation and crew offset housing provided during shifts.
What's in it for you?
1. 14 days on / 14 days off rotation
2. Crew offset housing provided during shifts - ideal for commuting engineers
3. Competitive salary + benefits
4. Permanent, stable employment with a growing operator
5. Opportunities for additional type training and career progression
6. Work with a close-knit, professional team in a supportive environment
What you'll be doing:
You'll be working on both line and base maintenance of a well-maintained fleet, ensuring that aircraft are safe, serviceable, and ready to meet operational demands. This includes:
7. Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with UK CAA regulations
8. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
9. Liaising directly with pilots, engineers, and the Chief Engineer
10. Supporting pre-flight inspections and ensuring smooth daily operations
11. Collaborating with supply chain and stores to manage tools, spares, and materials
12. Participating in daily engineering briefings and shift handovers
What we're looking for:
13. Valid UK CAA Part-66 B1.3 Licence
14. Ideally 5+ years' experience in helicopter maintenance (line and base)
15. Flexible and adaptable - able to respond to changing demands
16. Confident working independently and as part of a team
17. Familiarity with aviation IT systems and good general IT literacy
18. Fluent English (spoken and written)
The ideal candidate:
You're someone who takes pride in your work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys the hands-on nature of rotary engineering. Whether you're seeking a new challenge or looking to escape the traditional 9-to-5, this role offers a great lifestyle balance, a supportive team, and the chance to grow.
