Chances Educational Support Services is a vibrant school dedicated to providing early intervention for students facing challenges in mainstream education. With a strong OFSTED rating and an impressive success rate in reintegrating students back into our mainstream partner schools, we provide a short-term alternative education provision for students who, for a range of reasons, are struggling in their current education. At Chances, our innovative curriculum, combined with individualised behaviour support and personalised learning, helps students develop resilience and thrive. In a safe and inclusive setting, we emphasise positive relationships, good behaviour, and academic success.

Chances have consistently delivered excellent results. The staff are a mixture of quality teachers and highly trained youth workers, allowing us to focus on education, but also offer a holistic wrap-around approach to the care we provide. Students are at the heart of every decision we make, fostering enthusiasm, confidence, and a passion for learning. After time at our provision, with the support of our great teachers and skilled youth workers, most students reintegrate back into their mainstream school successfully.

Chances is part of DYS Space Ltd - our core values are:

1. Resilience
2. Respect
3. Opportunity

Do you want to help us unlock potential with young people and their communities? Do you love a challenge?

Chances is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to deliver English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students within an alternative provision setting, with a strong emphasis on literacy, reading, and communication skills.

We are particularly interested in teachers who understand the importance of rebuilding confidence in learning, especially for students who may have experienced disruption or barriers in mainstream education.

Part of this role will also involve supporting additional interventions for students catching up with their learning in other subjects in addition to their regular lessons, in a 1-1 capacity or very small groups. Staff work with the subject leads at the students' mainstream schools to create intervention packages that will support students in catching up on any lost learning and/or working beyond their current working levels.

Chances Educational Support Services invites applications from both secondary and primary trained teachers who share our enthusiasm for early intervention and are eager to contribute to a collaborative and innovative educational environment.

The successful candidate will maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding risks, complete all safeguarding training, follow school safeguarding policy and procedure to record, report, and share information, and work with external agencies as required in order to promote the safety and welfare of students.

7. Collaboration with Partner Schools: Work closely with mainstream schools to design intervention packages, ensuring continuity and supporting reintegration.
8. Student Relationship Building: Build strong, positive relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive learning environment that enables them to thrive.
9. Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the development of an engaging and ambitious English curriculum tailored to the needs of students in alternative provision.
