Role & Responsibilities of the SHEQ Advisor:
* Support site management teams in maintaining safe and compliant construction sites through regular audits and clear, constructive feedback
* Investigate incidents, near misses and ill health cases, producing clear reports that support learning and improvement
* Provide practical guidance to site and office teams across health, safety, environmental and quality systems
* Assist in the development and implementation of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 aligned systems
* Deliver engaging toolbox talks, training sessions and safety briefings
* Contribute to tender submissions and pre qualification questionnaires
* Assess subcontractor competence and promote best practice across all sites
* Liaise professionally with clients, Local Authorities, HSE and the Environment Agency
* Support the preparation of Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the SHEQ function
About You as the SHEQ Advisor:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a construction health and safety, environmental or quality role
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
* Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
* Experience writing RAMS and COSHH assessments
* Confident delivering presentations and engaging with site teams
* Strong IT and reporting skills
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
* A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
