Job Role: Teaching Assistant (TA) at John Gulson Primary School
John Gulson Primary School, located on George Street, Coventry, CV1 4HB, is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Teaching Assistant (TA) to support teachers across KS1, particularly Year 1. The role involves running small group interventions, leading clubs, supporting children within the classroom, and covering across the school.
Work Pattern
* 35 hours per week
* 39 weeks, term time only
Candidate Requirements
* TA Grade 3 qualification (or equivalent)
* Energetic, focused classroom practitioner
* High-quality spoken and written English
* Excellent Maths and English skills (Grade C or equivalent at GCSE)
* Experience with delivering interventions in English, Phonics, Maths, and Social & Emotional areas
* Ability to develop oracy skills in children
* High expectations for achievement and behaviour
* Alignment with the school's vision and values
* Proactive planning and activity delivery skills
* Effective marking and assessment skills
* Understanding of children’s learning processes and abilities
* Commitment to fostering independent learning
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
