Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Bracknell
Rate: £18.34 per hour
Contract Length: 24 months
Working Pattern: Shift-based (includes shift allowance + additional/overtime payments where applicable)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a dynamic production team in Bracknell. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for operating plant equipment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping deliver production targets while maintaining high Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
* Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment
* Take responsibility for HSE compliance within your designated area
* Follow Permit to Work systems and site safety standards
Plant Operations & Production
* Operate premix, milling, and formulation equipment in line with production plans
* Ensure availability of raw materials to maintain continuous operations
* Perform AT-Line laboratory testing and analysis on final products
Maintenance & Engineering Support
* Carry out first-line maintenance to minimise downtime
* Support engineering teams during planned shutdowns
* Monitor plant performance and take corrective action when required
Data & Quality Management
* Accurately record manufacturing and engineering data
* Analyse data to identify issues and implement improvements
* Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Teamwork & Training
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations
* Support training activities and contribute to team development
* Work flexibly to meet production and business needs
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience working in a manufacturing or chemical production environment
* Understanding of HSE standards and Permit to Work systems
* Experience in data recording and analysis within production environments
* Background in multi-product or JIT environments preferred
* Previous experience in shift-based roles
