Senior Sous Chef Boutique Farm Estate | Daytime-Focused Restaurant Hertfordshire Competitive Salary Service Charge Live-In Available | Excellent Progression Opportunities An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Sous Chef to join one of Hertfordshire's most unique and ambitious food-led hospitality businesses. Set within a stunning countryside estate, the business operates multiple food outlets, weddings, private events, a cookery school, kitchen gardens, and its own livestock operation. Food sits at the very heart of the guest experience, with each outlet offering its own distinct identity and seasonally changing menus. This role is based primarily within the popular daytime restaurant, serving fresh breakfasts, brunches and modern British classics using outstanding local and seasonal ingredients. The Venue The estate is home to: Multiple food-led outlets Private dining and event spaces Weddings and corporate events Kitchen gardens and estate-reared produce Seasonal British menus Cookery school experiences This is a fast-paced, creative environment where chefs are encouraged to learn, develop and contribute ideas while working with exceptional ingredients. The Role Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen and help drive standards across the operation. Responsibilities include: Supporting the Executive Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen Leading and motivating the brigade during prep and service Assisting with menu development and seasonal menu changes Managing ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation Assisting with rota planning and staffing requirements Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards Supporting other food outlets across the estate when required Creating a positive and professional team culture This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who enjoys developing people as much as producing great food.
