Hand Paint Sprayer – Kitchen Manufacturing Location South Yorkshire (Manufacturing Facility / Spray Shop) Salary £35,000 per annum Employment Type Full-time, Permanent About Us Our client is a leading kitchen manufacturing company committed to delivering premium-quality painted kitchens. Role Overview As a Hand Paint Sprayer, you will work in the spray booth applying high-quality finishes (including pigmented, solvent & two-pack paints) to kitchen doors, panels, and components. You’ll be part of a dedicated finishing team, ensuring that every piece meets our strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare timber / MDF / furniture components for spraying (sanding, masking, cleaning) Mix and apply primers, topcoats, and lacquers using hand spray equipment Maintain consistency of colour, sheen, and coverage on all sprayed components Inspect work post-spray; identify and correct any defects (runs, dust, etc.) Clean and maintain spray guns, booth filters, and other equipment Keep the spray area tidy; follow 5S / housekeeping practices Record production and quality data (paint usage, rejects, rework) Observe all health and safety procedures, especially regarding handling of paint, solvents, and PPE Assist with continuous improvement initiatives around finish quality, throughput, and efficiency Person Specification / Skills & Experience Proven experience in furniture or kitchen spraying / hand spraying (ideally 2 years) Experience with different paint systems: pigmented paints, water-based coatings, 2-pack lacquer. Excellent attention to detail — a good eye for finish, surface quality, and consistency Good understanding of spray preparation: sanding, masking, cleaning, reworking rejects Ability to work both independently and as part of a finishing team. Good communication skills and willingness to learn new techniques Physical stamina — able to handle manual work, lift components, spend time on your feet Strong commitment to health & safety: use of PPE, correct storage of paints, cleaning / disposal of waste Flexible approach to overtime when production requires it Benefits Competitive salary up to £35,000 p.a.
