We are looking for a friendly, focused, strong character to manage our flagship nursery in Poundbury. You will need at least 5 years’ experience within the childcare sector, preferably with management, admin, and customer care skills. The nursery is purpose built with excellent facilities and opportunities for the children and staff. There is a team of approximately 45 sunny stars and approximately 300 sunny children to care for, and the manager will be responsible for the management of all the staff and resources in the setting. The manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of Sunny Day Nurseries’ setting, including the management of staff and premises, the welfare, learning and development of children and liaison with parents, in accordance with the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework. – To manage a large nursery setting achieving key goals, the main one being a high-quality childcare service. – To promote Sunny Day Nurseries to parents, potential parents, the community, and to professionals. – To actively promote equal opportunities for all children, their families, and staff, with due respect and consideration for gender, race, language, disability, age religion, culture, sexuality, and class.
