Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm

We are excited to support a welcoming, community-focused primary school in Rubery, Birmingham, in their search for a skilled Year 5 Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is perfect for someone confident in supporting pupils with SEND, delivering targeted interventions, and working closely with the class teacher to ensure every child achieves their potential.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-class support within a Year 5 classroom alongside the class teacher
* Deliver targeted support for pupils with SEND, including small-group and 1:1 sessions
* Assist with intervention programmes to help close learning gaps
* Live mark pupils' work to provide immediate feedback and identify further support needs
* Support keep-up and catch-up sessions in the afternoons
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school expectations
* Monitor and report on pupil progress to the teacher and SENCo
Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent degree)
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in a Key Stage Two primary setting
* Experience supporting children with SEND, including those with EHCPs
* Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies
* Experience delivering small-group or 1:1 interventions
* Ability to live mark and adapt support in real time
* Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to learning support
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and SENCo
