As the Sales Manager, you will be a driven new business sales professional with a hunter mindset and a collaborative, technically biased approach. The role supports the client throughout the sales cycle from proof of concept through to certification of a wide variety of products.
Required skills and experience:
* Five years’ experience in a business-to-business sales environment, ideally selling similar products or solutions, and demonstrable successful previous on-target performance.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to targets, understanding concepts of sales forecasting, pipeline management, conversion rates, and sales planning.
* Self-motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Manager to generate new leads, identify opportunities, meet clients and close business deals for Assurance, Testing and Certification across a range of industries.
Key activities
* Face to face and Teams meetings with current and new business clients.
* Lead management, opportunity generation and pipeline maintenance.
* Delivering high levels of customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
* Closing deals and achieving sales targets.
* Updating the Customer Relationship Management System.
* Network collaboration across the wider Intertek organisation to create leads with Intertek stakeholders.
* Identify new market trends and opportunities for expansion of current client offering.
* Be well organised and planned, understanding the ‘numbers’ behind sales activity and maintaining them.
* Understand the wider marketplace, identifying customer needs.
* Strong B2B selling with high activity, including in-person and remote meetings.
