Art Teacher – Exceptional Alternative Provision – Enfield
An exceptional Alternative Provision in Enfield is seeking a creative and dedicated Art Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who have faced challenges in mainstream education and help them express themselves through the creative arts in a supportive, inclusive, and structured environment.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at an exceptional Alternative Provision in Enfield
* Teach Art to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), emotional and mental health (SEMH), and moderate learning difficulties
* Plan and deliver dynamic, engaging, and differentiated Art lessons that encourage students’ creativity and self-expression
* Foster a love of the arts by integrating various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital arts
* Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff to create individualized learning plans and ensure all students are supported
* Track student progress, offering tailored support to help them build their skills and confidence
* Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that promotes self-expression and personal development
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Art at secondary level, ideally within an alternative provision or SEN setting
* Strong subject knowledge in Art and the ability to inspire and engage students in a creative curriculum
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching students with additional needs
* Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
* Enhanced DBS check required
