Medical Administrator (Part-Time/Flexible)
Salary: £22,250 pro rata
Working Hours: 20–25 hours per week, flexible between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Office-based in Newcastle City Centre
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and organised Medical Administrator on a part-time, flexible working basis. This is a key administrative role providing critical support through the preparation and coordination of medical reports and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and process letters of instruction from panel solicitors.
Liaise with medical experts and partners to request and follow up on medical reports and rehabilitation services.
Prepare and submit medical reports to solicitors in a timely and accurate manner.
Handle invoicing, including preparation and payment of invoices.
Resolve queries from solicitors and other stakeholders efficiently and professionally.
Manage an active caseload, ensuring all cases are progressed and documented appropriately.
Respond promptly to telephone calls and correspondence from solicitors, medical agencies, hospitals, and medical experts.
Support the team with handling medical records and maintaining accurate documentation.
Assist with post, emails, and general administrative duties as required.
Support colleagues and offer cover for other team members when needed.
Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations in all aspects of the role.
Undertake any additional duties requested by line managers.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a medical, legal, or administrative environment is desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
Comfortable using IT systems and handling confidential information securely.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
