Temporary Full-time Teacher of English – Alleyne’s Academy
We wish to appoint a lively and talented teacher of English at this popular and successful 13–18 school. The successful applicant will be expected to teach across the whole‑ability range, GCSE and A Level. They will join an excellent faculty where attainment and progress at KS4 is very good. We have significant numbers of students who continue to study these subjects at A Level. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and those who are newly qualified.
We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm who is able to communicate clearly, is sensitive to the needs of young adults and has the ability to use initiative and vision to encourage others. We expect the person to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
Alleyne’s is a popular 13‑18 comprehensive academy judged “Good” by Ofsted in May 2025. The academy is well‑regulated within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching.
