Job Title: Security OfficerLocation: NorthamptonSalary: £25,625.74 per annumContract Type: Full-time – Rolling shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off)Shifts: Day (6am–6pm) and Night (6pm–6am)We are currently seeking a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our dedicated team, providing a consistent and visible security presence across a large and active estate in Northampton.About the Role: You will be responsible for upholding site security standards 24/7, working as part of a rolling shift pattern across both day and night shifts.
* Day shift roles include regular foot patrols, engaging with staff, students, and visitors, especially during high-traffic periods like lunch and start/end of the day.
* Night shift duties involve sole site coverage, monitoring activity and ensuring continued site safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor CCTV and respond appropriately to any incidents or emergencies
* Conduct routine patrols across the estate, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment
* Collaborate with the Student Welfare team to help safeguard residents and vulnerable individuals on-site
* Maintain accurate incident reports and communicate effectively with internal teams
Requirements:
* Valid SIA Door Supervision or SIA Security Guarding Licence
* SIA CCTV Licence (preferred, but training can be provided)
* Full driving licence (clean preferred)
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to act on initiative and remain calm under pressure
* Confident, professional, and approachable manner
