Bachelor's degree in Nursing and five (5) years of related experience required. Trauma experience preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Completion of UAB Medicine Quality Academy and the Society of Trauma Nurses Trauma Outcomes and Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) within 24 months from date of hire into position required. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Job Description : To coordinate and facilitate performance improvement activities in accordance with hospital policy. To use evidence-based decision making combined with innovative, practical ideas to perform consultation/research, data collection, comparison, reporting, analysis, facilitation of recommendations for improvement, and support of the trauma team performance improvement activities. To work collaboratively with the trauma medical staff, trauma program manager, Senior Director of Trauma and Trauma Medical Directors to develop evidence-based protocols and implement care plans using quality improvement methods.
