Are you a Senior CAD/CAM Programmer looking to take ownership of complex, multi-axis CNC programming in a high-precision engineering environment working with challenging materials and tight tolerances?

This is a senior, technically focused role within a modern machine shop, where you will be responsible for delivering robust, right‑first‑time CNC programs for 3, 4 and 5‑axis machines. You will support both internal production and external customer projects, contributing to fast‑paced, high‑value manufacturing work.

You will act as a key technical authority on the shop floor, supporting machining teams during prove‑out and production, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement across machining processes. Responsibilities

• Create, optimise and validate CNC programs for 3, 4 and 5‑axis machines
• Develop machining strategies for complex geometries and tight tolerances
• Support production teams during prove‑out, first‑off and production runs
• Troubleshoot machining issues and reduce downtime
• Contribute to continuous improvement and NPI activities

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a CAD/CAM Programmer in precision engineering
• Proficient with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, PowerMill, HyperMill, NX or CATIA
• Strong understanding of tooling, machining strategies and GD&T
• Calm, methodical and effective under pressure
