Senior Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Support Worker to work in an Adults Residential setting for our client in Horsham, West Sussex.
Responsibilities
* Provide outcome-based care and assist service users in maintaining or improving their skills for daily living.
* Support the Manager in the day-to-day management of the residential service, assuming responsibility for designated areas of work.
* Support staff in encouraging service users to achieve their care objectives and promote independence.
* Work flexibly to meet service needs, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
* Participate in sleep-in on-call shifts on a rota basis.
* Escort service users on holiday when required.
* Develop and maintain caring relationships with service users who have mental and physical health needs.
* Manage situations involving service users who may be abusive, aggressive, or distressed.
* Regularly communicate in English with service users and the public.
Working Hours
37 hours per week
Requirements
* No formal social work qualification required.
* Relevant experience in residential care, adult services, or social care is highly desirable.
* Ability to work flexibly and handle potentially challenging situations.
* Strong communication skills, especially in English.
* Experience working with adults with mental and physical health needs.
