The Role
Coordinating the process of reviewing and maintaining record for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including those with Education health Care Plans (EHCP’s) by working closely with students, their families, curriculum colleagues and external agencies as prescribed by the SEND Code of Practice.
£29,096 pro-rata, per annum
Part Time – Term time only

Other Duties Include
* Lead on the operational processes of maintaining and reviewing EHCP’s
* Work closely with the students and their parents and/or carers to prepare their EHCP reviews
* Support Curriculum colleagues in preparation for the EHCP reviews
* Liaise with any external health and/or social care agencies and the local authority in preparation for the EHCP reviews
* Coordinate and chair EHCP reviews
* Support decisions about appropriateness of provision during the admissions process and when the college is the named provider in the EHCP
* Support the transitions process by attending EHCP reviews in their current setting i.e. school or college
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual with up to date knowledge of the revised SEND Code of Practice and associated EHCP/funding, and experience of working with students with learning disabilities, learning difficulties, complex and physical needs.
With excellent interpersonal skills, you'll have the ability to relate and support the students journey.
