GSL Education are currently recruiting for a committed and empathetic SEN Teacher to join SEN settings and inclusive mainstream schools in the Kirkby in Ashfield area. This role offers the opportunity to support children with additional needs, helping them reach their full potential through a tailored and nurturing approach.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEND learners.
* Support pupils with complex needs including ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and MLD.
* Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and parents/carers.
* Monitor and track progress, adapting teaching as needed.
* Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are always prioritised.
To be an SEN Teacher, an ideal candidate will require:
* Hold mandatory UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
* Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management.
* Be nurturing, patient, and adaptable in their approach.
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willing to apply).
* Provide a full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
