About The Opportunity
* Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
* This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote and the hours are flexible, so you can work whenever is best for you.
* This opportunity is open to people who live in the United Kingdom.
You may contribute your expertise by…
* Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
* Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
* Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.
Examples of Desirable Expertise
* Experience as a professional writer or editor.
* Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
* A strong sense of writing style with excellent English spelling, grammar, logic, and reasoning skills.
* Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a piece of text.
Payment
* Pay rates for core project work by English writing experts in the UK typically range between £11.5 and £27 per hour, paid in USD.
* Rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Incentive payments may also be available. Please review the payment terms for each project.
