Teaching Assistant Location: Walsall, Secondary School Start Date: Autumn Term 2025 Salary: Competetive (dependent on experiecne) About the role: At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner secondary schools. This role involves providing 1:1 support to students as well as working with small groups to help them achieve their learning goals. Role responsibilites: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to help them engage with lessons and reach learning targets. Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging classroom activities. Support students with additional learning needs, helping to create an inclusive learning environment. Promote positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management policies. Help to monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Assist with classroom setup, organisation, and general administrative tasks as required. Supervise students during non-classroom activities when needed (e.g. breaks, lunch or school trips). Role requirements: A positive and proactive attitude with a genuine interest in supporting young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility and willingness to support students across different subject areas. Some experience working in a secondary school or educational setting is preferred, but not essential.
