What doesthe Group Accountant at Collinsondo
As part of the GroupReporting Team you will play a key role in ensuring globalcompliance to accounting standards and providing accurate andtimely financial reporting for the Group. The Group Accountant willbe involved in the global annual audit process and production ofthe Group consolidated statutory accounts. You will also supportproduction of the monthly Group consolidation and work with financeteams globally to obtain and validate financial information. Therole will also be required to act as a specialist point of contactfor technical accounting queries applying your technical accountingskills to analyse contracts and key transactions and preparingaccounting prepares to support this analysis and conclusions.
Key Responsibilitiesof this roleinclude
o Supportin the production of the of the Group consolidated statutoryfinancial statements including preparation of notes and input intodisclosure requirements;
o Support in completionof the monthly Group consolidation and production of consolidatedfinancial statements ensuring these are compliant withFRS102;
o Work closely with finance teamsglobally to monitor the integrity of and validate monthly financialinformation that is used for BoardReporting;
o Support on the analysis andreconciliation of intercompany balancesglobally;
o Support on technical accountingreviews to ensure compliance of transactions with FRS102;
o Contribute to the enhancement of theGroups Technical Accounting Policies and provide guidance tofinance teams globally on the application of thepolicies;
o Contribute to the development andembedding of groupwide controls systems andprocesses.
o Identify and drive processimprovements to enhance the efficiency of the Group consolidationand financial reporting processes.
o Contributeto other key finance initiatives as required providing technicalaccounting support and input on financeimplications.
Keyskills and experience to be evidenced within your applicationincluded
* Technicallystrong with working knowledge of FRS102
* Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA oroverseas equivalent)
* Demonstrable experience inyearend group consolidation processes and preparation of statutoryaccounts under FRS102.
* Experience of complexmulticurrency consolidations
* Strong analyticalskills and an eye for detail
* Strongcommunication skills and ability to maintain good workingrelationships with regional/divisional financeteams
* Ability to work as part of a team and becollaborative
* Able to prioritise effectivelyand ability to handle multiple tasks
* Experienceon financial consolidation system preferred but notessential
* Experience using financial statementspreparation software preferred but essential
* Proficient in Excel PowerPoint andWord
