Legal Counsel / Senior Contracts Specialist
Location: Sheffield
Our client is seeking a Legal Counsel / Senior Contracts Specialist to join their team. In this role you will provide legal and contractual support for both public and private procurement processes, with a focus on technically complex construction and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting and reviewing international construction and engineering contracts.
* Preparing agreements with subcontractors.
* Developing consortium and joint venture contracts.
* Negotiating collaborative delivery models such as project partnering and alliance agreements.
* Managing contract amendments and variations, preparing legal correspondence, and supporting claims processes.
Requirements:
* Degree in common law or equivalent international legal qualification, with strong academic results.
* Substantial professional experience in contract law within infrastructure or large-scale project settings.
* Demonstrated ability to manage legal aspects of complex national and cross-border projects.
* Solution-oriented legal thinker with a practical, balanced approach.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain legal concepts and present alternative strategies.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus.
* Willingness to travel occasionally as part of project responsibilities.
