We are welcoming applications from students wishing to continue their paramedic career. Applicants must be able to start by June 2026 and should hold a full C1 driving licence. Candidates must live within one hour’s travel from their preferred base station or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
Paramedics will work across a wide range of urban and rural environments, managing situations from birth to end‑of‑life, chronic conditions and critical illness or injury. They will collaborate with allied health professionals, hospital and community teams, call handlers, dispatchers, and support services to ensure safe referrals, discharge and high‑quality care.
* Operate ambulances and rapid‑response vehicles in varied settings.
* Coordinate care with other clinical staff and volunteers.
* Support the safety and well‑being of patients and team members.
Qualifications
* Registered paramedic capable of starting by June 2026.
* Preference for holders of a full C1 driving licence.
* Must live within one hour of the preferred base station or be prepared to relocate.
* Student status in a paramedic training programme is welcomed.
Professional Support and Development
* No solo responding in the first six months.
* 150‑300 hours of supervised practice within the first 12 weeks after registration.
* Practice Educator course completion from nine months onward through a Trust‑approved programme.
