Job Title: Teaching Assistant / Cover Support Location: Heaton Chapel / Stockport Area Start Date: April or September Employer: Teaching Personnel Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available (term-time only) Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support a number of secondary schools across the Heaton Chapel and wider Stockport area. These opportunities are available for April and September starts and are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in secondary education. The successful candidates will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support students both in and outside the classroom. This will include working 1:1 and with small groups, supporting learning, and helping maintain a positive classroom environment. There may also be opportunities to step up and cover lessons in the absence of a teacher, so confidence managing behaviour and supervising a classroom is important. Many of these roles also offer temp-to-perm opportunities, allowing successful candidates to secure permanent positions within schools following an initial period through Teaching Personnel.
