An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Ophthalmology Administration Team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprentice. This role offers a chance to begin or develop a career in healthcare administration while gaining valuable experience in a busy, supportive clinical environment.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the minimum entry criteria set by the training provider: a minimum of four GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A–D / 9–4*, including Maths and English Language. Key Responsibilities
* Work within the Head & Neck and Ophthalmology department and provide administrative support for Medical/Support Secretaries and the Coordination team, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. Induction training will be provided in the Department.
* Develop and maintain effective communication skills to ensure a high‑quality service when liaising with patients, GP’s and all other internal and external contacts.
* Maintain good communication with health professionals and other groups within the Trust to ensure patients receive appropriate and timely care.
