We are looking for someone with a proven track record in specialist information provision and analysis, supported by in-depth knowledge of NHS datasets and definitions. The candidate should have an eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, pride in their work, and the ability to ensure thorough documentation to support reporting and analysis development through advanced Excel skills and SQL.
Main duties of the job
This important role involves analyzing internal and external datasets to provide operational and clinical colleagues with information necessary for operational planning and patient care. Experience in developing online reporting platforms such as Power BI and SSRS is advantageous.
The successful candidate will work within a team environment, responsible for providing various reports and responses to ad-hoc requests promptly.

Qualifications
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience in an information or performance-related role
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Management qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
* Data management, analysis, and interpretation within the NHS
* Proficiency in Microsoft SQL for querying data and report design
* Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, charts, complex formulas, and formatting
* Problem-solving and solution development
* Collaborating with others and making data-driven recommendations for service improvements
* Using initiative and flexibility to meet work demands
* Communicating complex data issues to varied audiences
* Supervisory experience
* Experience in an acute NHS trust

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro-rata.
