Overview of the Position
As a Machinist, you will be part of a skilled team manufacturing high-quality timber frames and doors for the construction and service industries. This is a permanent, full-time role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Set up and operate various machines within the Production Manufacturing departments (saws, spindles, moulder, etc.).
* Follow production schedules to meet targets.
* Communicate stock requirements for upcoming jobs.
* Ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Complete all paperwork according to Quality Management Systems.
* Assist in process improvements and efficiencies.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Operate required hand tools.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
The Person / Experience
* Qualified in NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Carpentry / Joinery (preferred).
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a joinery/manufacturing environment (preferred).
* Ability to interpret and read workshop/design drawings.
* Knowledge of timber.
* Ability to set up workpieces and tools.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Previous manufacturing experience.
* Attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and determination.
* High initiative and self-motivation.
* Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
* Must be a team player.

Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 17:30.
