The National Graphene Institute (NGI) forms part of the University of Manchester, the institute was established to enable academics and their industrial partners to work collaboratively on new and exciting applications of graphene and other 2D materials.
The NGI is equipped with 1,500m² of class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms - which have an atmosphere more than a million times purer than air - and the latest technology for nanoscale research and characterisation. Outside the cleanroom the institute is home to multidiscipline research groups from across the university driving forward application-based research.
Context of the role
We are seeking to appoint a receptionist/administration assistant to provide comprehensive and proactive operational support across the Institute The role involves flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks to deliver operational support for all staff within the Institute operations teams and wider Institute based research community. The post holder’s role will be to ensure effective and professional liaison and communication with academic, administrative and external customers, to facilitate the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
