We are seeking an experienced Accounts Supervisor for our new team based right next to Luton Airport Parkway. The role is wide ranging but in particular you will be responsible for the outsourced payroll process, payments. invoicing etc. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of payroll, together with experience of other areas, and be comfortable working in a flexible way.

What you’ll be doing:
The responsibilities of the role are varied and will include the following:
* Oversee the outsourced payroll process, including verification of worked hours, starters and leavers etc.
* Manage payments process to ensure proper authorisation and cash management.
* Oversee accounts payable
* Assist with credit control of public sector clients as required.
* Management of current team, currently one team member reporting directly into this role.
* Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from our care homes, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner,
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes where possible maintaining accuracy and compliance.

About You:
* Demonstrable experience working in financial administration, with experience in a supervisory role.
* Ideally working in a services business with variable pay (healthcare, hospitality, personal services) etc.
* Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation.
* Wider knowledge of other finance processes (Accounts payable or receivable).
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Candidates available at short notice are preferred.
