Job Title: Telescopic Grab Operator

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Telescopic Grab Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaft sinking operations, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of telescopic grab equipment in demanding underground environments. Shaft sinking experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate telescopic grab machinery safely and efficiently
Excavate, load, and move materials during shaft sinking activities
Work closely with the shaft team to ensure smooth and productive operations
Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of equipment
Adhere strictly to all health & safety procedures and site regulations
Identify and report hazards, faults, or unsafe conditionsEssential Requirements:
Proven experience operating telescopic grab equipment
Relevant operator tickets / certifications
Strong understanding of site safety practices
Ability to work in challenging and confined environments
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexible approach to shift work, including nights and weekendsDesirable Skills:
Previous shaft sinking or underground mining experience
Confined Spaces Certification
First Aid qualification
