Our OEM client based in Gaydon is searching for a Human Factors Engineer to join their team, inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties
As modern vehicles evolve, our client's customers are experiencing and interacting with vehicles in new and innovative ways. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Human Factors Ergonomics team to deliver customer requirements for future vehicles.
This role is ideally suited to a skilled individual with a background in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Anthropometrics, Product Design, or Design Engineering.
Additional Duties
* Lead development of Human Factors requirements to deliver the best customer experience.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Programme, Commercial, and more to incorporate Human Factors into vehicle development and evoke empathy for the impact of design decisions.
* Lead the timely completion of Human Factors assessments and gateway testing to support issue resolution.
* Support ergonomic issue resolution using customer data and Human Factors science.
* Analyze customer feedback related to ergonomics to support requirements and resolve issues.
Essential Skills Required
* Ability to work in demanding environments, combining interpersonal skills with technical decision-making.
* Ability to analyze technical data and customer feedback for program discussions and requirement development.
* Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, or anthropometrics.
* Good communication skills to explain complex ideas clearly.
Desirable Skills
* CAD experience (e.g., CATIA / 3D Experience).
* Familiarity with Agile methodology and JIRA.
* Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-team collaboration.
* Resilient, enthusiastic, and capable of delivering results under pressure.
Education Required
* Degree-level education in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Anthropometrics, User-Centered Design, Product Design, User Experience Design, or related fields.
