About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our aluminium door and window manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the fabrication of high-quality aluminium glazing systems for commercial projects including offices, schools, retail units, and industrial buildings.
You will be responsible for working independently from technical drawings and production schedules to accurately manufacture aluminium doors, windows, curtain walling, and shopfront systems to specification, quality, and deadline requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate and assemble commercial aluminium doors, windows, curtain walling, and shopfront systems to company and client specifications.
* Accurately read and interpret fabrication drawings, technical manuals, and production schedules.
* Cut, drill, punch, machine, and prepare aluminium profiles using workshop machinery and hand tools.
* Install hardware, gaskets, glazing units, and associated components in line with system requirements.
* Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
* Identify and resolve fabrication issues efficiently to maintain production flow.
* Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
* Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement within the fabrication department.
Skills & Attributes:
* Proven experience in aluminium door, window, and glazing system fabrication.
* Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements.
* Competent in the use of fabrication machinery and hand tools.
* High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical ability.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Demonstrable experience in aluminium fabrication within a commercial manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of aluminium glazing systems and fabrication processes.
Desirable:
* Experience with recognised aluminium systems (e.g., Senior, Comar, Kawneer, or similar).
* Forklift or machinery operation certification.
* Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
