We are passionate about creating tasty and convenient food for people to enjoy every day.Focussed on satisfying our customers from start to finish; from innovative product development right through to consumer feedback, we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us.Reporting to the Area Leaders, the key responsibilities for the role will include (but not limited to):
* Plan and co-ordinate the activities of production to ensure the daily plan for the department is achieved.
* Take ownership for product quality in the day-to-day running of the department to ensure GMP standards are maintained.
* Supervision of a team of staff with regards to employee relations, i.e. RTW, absence management, SOP training etc.
* Ensure that the day-to-day hygiene and house-keeping standards are met.
* Ensure effective utilisation of labour – appropriate skills for the roles in department.
* Monitor and control the efficiency within the area of responsibility
* Monitor & control department material variances to agreed targets.
* Promote a safe working environment culture and conduct accident investigations initiating recommendations where possible, complying with Company Health and Safety procedures.
* Ensure daily Health & Safety Pre-Start checks in the area of responsibility are carried out.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement in business performance.
* Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when required.
* Engage with and support the onboarding of new starters to the dept
Key skills/experience required:
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
* Team player but able to work independently and on own initiative
* Computer literate in all office applications
* Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence and motivate
